The Roundtable this issue — “Revealing the Upside” — puts the market question directly to international brand directors, CEOs and retailers. What’s selling? What’s working? The answers are more concrete than you’d expect.

The menswear trend direction is Loose Tailoring: formal without formality, precise without being stiff. Wide-legged proportions, exaggerated lapels, suede boots. Prada and Thom Browne anchor the direction. Fresh names make the same argument differently.

Womenswear takes the opposite register: Sculpted in White. Classical restraint with a strong point of view, drawing on Simone Rocha, Bottega Veneta and Gucci.
