Breuninger celebrates 145th anniversary with launch of anniversary campaign

Breuninger marked its 145th company anniversary on Thursday, 3 September 2026, with the launch of its Anniversary Campaign 2026, “The Beautiful Things in Life” (“Die schönen Dinge des Lebens”), at Restaurant Forum in Düsseldorf.

The evening brought together the campaign’s three featured personalities: actress Florence Kasumba, Paralympic champion Felix Streng and musician Priya Ragu.

At the heart of the event was the presentation of the new anniversary campaign by Carsten Hendrich, Chief Brand Officer at Breuninger. This was followed by a discussion exploring the theme of “the beautiful things in life” with Jenny Augusta, Florence Kasumba and Felix Streng. Rhina Raths then took to the decks for a DJ performance, providing the soundtrack for the remainder of the evening.

The Anniversary Campaign

The Anniversary Campaign brings Breuninger’s long-standing philosophy of curation into the present day. For 145 years, the company has positioned itself around the idea of carefully selecting and presenting the things that make life special. The new campaign interprets this idea on a personal and individual level, highlighting that “the beautiful things in life” are different for everyone.

Eight personalities feature in the campaign, each offering their own perspective on these special moments, passions and experiences. Together, they demonstrate how Breuninger curates these individual expressions of the good things in life in its role as a “Perfect Host.”

The Anniversary Campaign officially launched on 3 September 2026 and is being rolled out across digital channels, print, out-of-home advertising and Breuninger’s department stores.

From Düsseldorf to Zurich and Warsaw

The Düsseldorf event marked the beginning of an international series of anniversary events. Breuninger will continue the celebrations shortly with further events in Zurich and Warsaw, extending the campaign beyond Germany as part of its 145th-anniversary celebrations.
