Hublot reinterprets its original watch with the Classic Fusion Tributo

Created by Carlo Crocco under the Hublot name through his company MDM Genève, the original watch stood out for its porthole-inspired bezel, twelve exposed screws and pared-back dial. The Classic Fusion Tributo retains these defining features, along with the contrast between gold and black rubber that made the original so distinctive.

The most significant change lies inside the case. While the 1980 model was powered by quartz, the new edition features an automatic calibre developed by Hublot, with a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. Visible through the sapphire caseback, the oscillating weight takes the shape of the Maison’s signature “H”.

To mark the launch, Hublot is donating CHF 100,000 to the Main Dans la Main Foundation, established by Carlo Crocco in 1998 to support humanitarian and educational projects for vulnerable children and communities in need. The donation pays tribute to the Maison’s founder, connecting the watch’s origins with his wider philanthropic legacy.
