Coach celebrates 85 years with Spring 2027 collection in New York

Coach presented its Spring 2027 collection in downtown New York City, marking the house’s 85th anniversary with a collection inspired by memory, nostalgia and the evolution of familiar things.

“For Coach’s 85th anniversary, I was thinking about memory and the way familiar things change as we live with them,” said Creative Director Stuart Vevers. Rather than creating a retrospective, Vevers turned signature Coach elements “inside out,” exposing construction and adding traces of celebration.

Classic Coach, Reimagined

Classic silhouettes including the trench coat, leather jacket, tuxedo, bias-cut dress and Western boot were reworked with slim proportions and refined tailoring. Inside-out construction revealed linings and internal details, while soft nappa leather, faded jersey, repurposed denim, georgette, lamé and sequins brought a worn-in, personal feel to the collection.

The palette moved from dove grey, brown, black and natural leather into periwinkle, powder pink, mint and metallic finishes. Repurposing remained central, with vintage Coach pieces, secondhand leather, denim and lining fabrics transformed into new garments and accessories.

An Anniversary Party in Leather

The celebratory mood appeared through metallic foil, confetti, glitter and cracked nail-polish finishes. Leather accessories took the form of crowns, party hats, wrapped gifts and birthday cards.

Key bags included the new Turnlock Tote, inspired by a 1970 Coach design, the Inside-Out Brooklyn and reworked Tabby styles incorporating vintage Coach pouches. Footwear featured the new Hudson sneaker, inspired by 1970s tennis shoes, alongside a slouchy Western boot.
