Emerging Designers returns to MICAM with 12 new names in international footwear

Emerging Designers returns to MICAM Milano from 13 to 15 September 2026 at Fiera Milano Rho, highlighting 12 new talents from the international footwear scene.

Run in partnership with Honegger, the initiative reflects MICAM’s continued commitment to discovering emerging brands and connecting them with the global market.

Supporting New Talent

“Supporting new talent means investing in the future of the entire footwear supply chain,” says Giovanna Ceolini, President of MICAM and Assocalzaturifici. “With Emerging Designers, we want to give up-and-coming designers not just international visibility, but also a genuine opportunity to connect with buyers, companies and industry professionals.”

A Platform Since 2018

Launched in 2018, Emerging Designers has become one of MICAM’s most recognised formats. Each year, 12 designers are selected by a jury of leading figures from the fashion and communications industries, chaired by Ernesto Esposito.

This year’s panel included Sabrina Donadel, Ada Kokosar, Americo Cacciapuoti, Bojan Kostic and Sergio Zambon, alongside MICAM representatives Giovanna Ceolini and Giorgio Possagno.

The 12 Selected Designers

The brands selected for the September 2026 edition are Éeclat, En Talons, Joel Wijangco, Maliko, Moon2gether, Nalebe, Paidal, Raphia, Stefano Mugnai, Te Dreamers Club, Tenconi and Wud.

The selection offers an international mix of design approaches, combining craftsmanship, material research, constructive innovation and contemporary interpretations of footwear.

Showcasing Future Directions

The designers will present their collections in a dedicated exhibition area designed to increase brand visibility and encourage connections with international buyers, companies and industry professionals.

They will also take part in the MICAM Next programme, presenting their creative journeys and visions for the future.

Experimentation and Innovation

Rather than focusing on one dominant trend, the selection highlights experimentation, design quality and functionality. The collections reflect a market where comfort, product quality and strong brand identity are becoming increasingly important.

Emerging Designers continues to serve as an observatory for future directions in footwear and a platform for the growth of new Italian and international brands.

“Emerging Designers represents our commitment to fostering innovation and supporting the growth of new generations, creating opportunities to connect with the international market,” says Giorgio Possagno, CEO of MICAM.
