Munich Fabric Start marks 30th anniversary with expanded industry programme

Munich Fabric Start has unveiled the extensive edutainment programme for its upcoming 30th edition. Featuring a line-up of high-profile keynotes, panel discussions, trend presentations and expert talks, THE STAGE will once again serve as the central hub for knowledge-sharing, inspiration and interdisciplinary exchange across the European textile and fashion industry.

From 14–16 July 2026, Munich Fabric Start, together with its integrated show-in-shows BLUEZONE, KEYHOUSE and THE SOURCE, will present the latest developments and innovations from around 650 international fabric, trims and sourcing collections at the MOC Munich.

This year’s three-day programme will tackle some of the industry’s most pressing questions, including how artificial intelligence and digitalisation are transforming material development, how evolving regulations are reshaping textile value chains, and what it will take to establish a functioning circular economy.

The trend programme will connect major societal shifts with their practical application in colour, materials and silhouettes.

Alongside its conference schedule, Munich Fabric Start is broadening its creative offering with the launch of the new ART & TEXTILES exhibition and DESIGN AREA, adding curated spaces for creativity and cross-industry dialogue, bridging materials, design and art alongside the fair’s business-focused offering.

The second day of the exhibition will conclude with the “Cheers, Munich Fabric Start” AFTERSHOW DRINKS, bringing together exhibitors, visitors, partners and media representatives.

To celebrate the fair’s 30th anniversary, guests are invited on Wednesday, 15 July from 6:30pm for a summer aperitivo featuring drinks, food and music.
